Guest Policies

  • Club Guests
    • We encourage guests of River Oaks Country Club members to come and enjoy a memorable experience at our Club. To help ensure your enjoyment, we bring the following to your attention:

      Guests of our Membership

      Guests must be accompanied by their sponsoring member, or an authorized member of his or her family, at all times. Guests may be subject to a guest fee. Members are responsible for any charges incurred by their guests. We encourage our members to call ahead to the Membership Office to inform us of their visiting guest, so that our staff may be prepared for their arrival.

      Smoking Policy

      Smoking is not permitted inside any building on the Club grounds, on the pool deck, or within 25 feet of any operable door or window. Please utilize the appropriate receptacle to correctly dispose of smoking materials.

      Cell Phone Policy

      Cell phone use is prohibited in the Clubhouse and all Club buildings and should be used outside Club buildings with discretion. Please place your cellular device on silent or vibrate upon entering the property. Cell phones may be used with discretion in the Fitness Facility and in the designated vestibule at the Member Entrance of the Club.

      Dress Code

      All members and guests are to be suitably attired at all times while on Club Premises. Gentlemen and boys over twelve (12) years of age must wear coats in the Main Dining Room. Gentlemen and boys over twelve (12) without coats or in athletic attire may be served in the Grill before 6:30 p.m. and all day Sunday, or in the Hunt Room or Hunt Room Terrace, and ladies in athletic attire may be served in either the Hunt Room or Hunt Room Terrace.

  • Golf Guests
    • The etiquette of golf as prescribed by the United States Golf Association shall apply to the River Oaks Country Club golf course, and may be found in Section I of the U.S.G.A. Rules of Golf published each year and available in our Golf Shop.

      Guests of our membership are welcome to come out and enjoy a round of golf here at the Club. To help ensure your enjoyment, we would like to bring the following to your attention:

      Upon Arrival

      Please check in with the guard service at the front gate upon arrival and they will direct you to the bag drop located in the west parking lot, to your left as you enter the grounds.

      Please proceed to the Men’s or Ladies Locker Room facilities to change into your golf attire, change shoes, etc. A guest locker will be provided in the Men’s Locker Room only.

      Golf clubs and bags may not be carried into the Clubhouse.

      Proper Attire

      For Men: Slacks, golf shorts, shirts with a collar (mock turtlenecks are permitted) and non-metal spiked golf shoes are appropriate. Hats of any kind are not permitted inside the Clubhouse.

      For Ladies: Golf shorts or slacks, golf shirts, or sports shirts with or without a collar are appropriate.
      No heeled shoes.

      Denim, cargo shorts, sandals, and non-golf attire are never permitted.

      Cell Phone Usage

      Cell Phone Usage is prohibited in the Clubhouse and on the driving range and should be used outside the Clubhouse with discretion. Cell phones may not be used in the wet areas of the locker rooms. Please place your cellular device on silent or vibrate upon entering the property.

  • Tennis Guests
    • To help ensure your enjoyment as a guest of our membership, we would like to bring the following to your attention:

      Upon Arrival

      Please check in with the guard service at the front gate upon arrival and they will direct you to the tennis complex, to your right as you enter the grounds. Please park in the parking garage and proceed to the Tennis Shop/Fitness Center to check in, prior to accessing the courts.

      Please proceed to the Men’s or Ladies Locker Room facilities in the Fitness Center to change into your tennis attire, change shoes, etc. A day-of locker can be provided.

      Proper Attire

      Standard tennis shorts, skirts or warm-up pants must be worn. No cut offs, jogging shorts, swim suits or Bermuda length shorts are permitted. Only regulation shoes designed for tennis may be worn. Jogging, basketball and other non-tennis shoes are not permitted.

      For Men: Substantially all white is strongly recommended. Tennis specific collarless shirts are permitted. Sleeveless shirts of any kind are not permitted.

      For Women: Tennis sports shirts and sleeveless tennis tank tops are permitted.

      Cell Phone Usage

      Cell phone use is prohibited in the Clubhouse and should be used with discretion inside the Fitness Center and outside of the Club buildings. Cell phones may not be used in the wet areas of the locker rooms. Please place your cellular phone on silent or vibrate upon entering the property.

  • Fitness Guests
    • Guests of our membership are welcome to come and enjoy our fitness center. Guests must be accompanied by their member sponsor and a guest fee will be signed for by that member for utilization of the facility.

      Upon Arrival

      Please check in with the guard service at the front gate upon arrival and they will direct you to the Fitness Center, to your right as you enter the grounds. Please park in the parking garage and proceed to the Fitness Center to check in, prior to using the facilities.

      Proper Attire

      Proper and clean workout attire reasonably acceptable for a family environment is required. Athletic shoes must be worn at all times except in group exercise studios as permitted by various classes (i.e. yoga, mat Pilates, etc.). Tennis shoes worn for clay court play should not be worn in the exercise areas of the facility. Shirts must be worn at all times. Bathing suits are specifically excluded from being worn in the Fitness Center, except to and from the pool area. All shirts and tops must cover the back and midriff and must have a finished hem. Men’s shirts must have sleeves.

      Cell Phone Usage

      Cellular phones must be placed in the silent or vibrate mode while on Club property. Cellular phones may be used in the locker rooms of the Fitness Center, though they are not permitted in the wet areas. They may not be used in the common areas of the facility. If used on the exterior patio, conversations should be kept low in volume and short in duration.

  • Swimming Guests
    • We encourage guests of River Oaks Country Club members to come and enjoy a memorable experience at our Pool facilities. Guests must be accompanied by their member sponsor and a guest fee will be signed for by that member for utilization of the pool.

      Upon Arrival

      Please check in with the guard service at the front gate upon arrival and they will direct you to the pool. Please park in the East lot nearest to the pool entrance. Guest must register at the Lifeguard House and sign guest tickets before commencing swimming.

      Proper Attire

      Appropriate attire is required at all times in the pool area. No cutoffs, running shorts, or colored t-shirts are allowed in the pool. Members, guests, and visitors are expected to suitably attired at all times. Children under the age of 3 must wear approved swim diapers. No disposable or cloth diapers are permitted.

      Pool Locker Room facilities are to be utilized for changing and showering. Clubhouse locker rooms are not to be utilized for swimming pool guests.

      Cell Phone Usage

      Please place your cellular phone on silent or vibrate upon entering the property. Cell phones may not be used in the wet areas of the locker rooms.

  • Parking & Valet Service
    • Guest self-parking is available in the East Lot near the pool.

      Valet parking is provided for members and guests at the Member Entrance on the west side of the Club starting at 10 a.m.

      Valet parking at the main entrance circle drive will only be available during private events.
